The PouchCo Story.
Being the owners of a Luxury baby Stroller and Car Seat brand in South Africa, we noticed the gap in the market for comfortable, functional yet stylish baby carriers. Seeing a need for high-quality, ergonomic yet stylish elegant baby carriers, we decided to create a Baby Carrier Brand based on the way a Kangaroo carries her baby in her pouch, and that is how Pouchco became a brand.
Due to our strong passion for designing products for parents that enhance parental bonding and are convenient to use, we then started the designing of these elegant carriers in Cape Town, South Africa. While understanding the importance of proper support for both parent and baby, keeping in mind that a baby carrier is for protection, development, nursing, Mobility and, most importantly, emotional bonding.
Our baby carriers were sent in for European Safety Standard Testing and passed the CEN/TR 16512-2015 certification. We are currently waiting on our application with the International Hip Dysplasia Institute.
